You Lose Tuesday, Legends Of Dawn!

6:53 p.m. , 0 Comments

Legends Of Dawn was supposed to be an amazing sandbox RPG where your character would seem human and develop in amazing ways. Considering I'm writing this in a You Lose Tuesday article, you can tell it doesn't deliver on this promise. If you didn't, then your either blind or the guy who just looks at the pictures. So you won't even notice what I just wrote. Or this. Or this.

Anyways, lets get to the not juicy, but bone dry, details. It wasn't finished when it was released. There are a ton of glitches, including glitches that stop your magic working, and a draw distance that's even less than that of GTA San Andreas', which is CRAZY bad. And also the load and save buttons do the complete oppiste of what they say and crash the game. Don't worry, you'll only wanna play it once! And it gets worse for some people, as their PCs actually broke at times! The inventory system is also broken, literally never stacking items and not letting you do so, and dialogue always seems to give away spoilers.

The music also jumps more than a scratched CD (Boy, that's a boring simile). I would say that the story is pretty much the same as pretty much any RPG, but you'd be lucky to discover the story, what with there being non-canon quests and dialogue. I will say that the lockpicking system is great, but that is the only thing to write home about, and even then it's been done a billion times before.

That spider is the equivalent of GIANT ENEMY CRAB.

The developers , who for many reasons shall not be named, said that this game is hardcore, but it's not hardcore, just impossible to play. Normally, I would be glad that QTEs aren't in a game, but in Legends Of Dawn they would fit right at home with their crafting system, but instead you just click on stuff and that's it. Nothing rewarding. Combat doesn't have any fun stuff to it, you once again just click on enemies. RTS games have more involvement in combat than that!

In conclusion, this game is borderline unplayable because of it's glitches, game breaking bugs and boring combat and crafting. Don't buy it. Ride To Hell is actually fun compared to this.

WindForge? It's Just Terraria With A Billion New Features!

6:26 p.m. 0 Comments

Riding a whale. You can RIDE a WHALE.

The newest addition to a range of Kickstarter-funded games, WindForge has been created by Snowed In Studios, a new developer who's employees have made games like Need For Speed and Far Cry. It's a 2D Action RPG similar to games like Terraria and Minecraft, but in no way the same game. The Steampunk-style fully open world changes around you, and everything can be destroyed, so it's literally your world to play with!

It has minable flying whales (I feel so cruel!) and meat blocks (Less so), you can build and fly Airships, there are over 1200 different objects to craft and the combat is skill-based, so no cheating! You can buy WindForge on Steam, Desura, GOG, the Humble Store and the WindForge website, and for a week you can get 10% off the game everywhere! Also, thanks to the great Jennifer Chorlton, we have managed to get a couple of review copies of the game, so expect a review from Joe soon, and maybe Carlo!

videoIn other news, Namco Bandai UK projected a huge Pac Man onto the wall of their offices, which are actually SEGA's, so they posted a little making of
video that showed a couple of stages of the plan.

1 V Monday: Battle Of The Yo Mama Shooters!

Call Of Duty: Ghosts
Let's get this straight: I hate Call Of Duty, but since I'm a "journalist" I have to be objective in this feature. If you miss my "I Hate Call Of Duty" attitude, please reference all of my articles ever. Anyways, Ghosts isn't a revolutionary game in the COD series, but it does improve in some places. The class system is now much better, as instead of it being the higher level you are, the better weapons you get, it's a credits-based system, so you have to EARN the money to buy your coveted weapons and attachments. The campaign is 4 hours long, which is unacceptable for a £50 game, but the crazy set pieces and overall craziness of it actually makes it kinda fun! The multiplayer also offers more benefits when you play as a team, instead of individuals, so that is also a nice extra. However, the multiplayer is REALLY boring at times, because the maps are WAY to big, and I'm using WAY too many capital letters. It's also not really a friendly title to COD No00bs, as they are called, but it's a good entry to the series.

Battlefield 4
The first thing that strikes you about Battlefield 4 is that the multiplayer is so deep and intense, while it's also insanely fun for newcomers, with it's vehicles and the ability to do well without killing anyone. The maps are amazing, and though it may sound stupid, Levolution is one of the best features in a video game, even working well and looking beautiful on current gen (Or last gen!) consoles, my favorite being the skyscraper on Siege of Shanghai. Sure, it ruins the map a little, but it looks amazing, and you can get a helluva lotta kills with it! The commander mode is also great, aiding both the players and the commanders, so soldiers can always feel like someone has their back. Unfortunately, the singleplayer isn't really anything to write home about, and it's really the only feature that Ghosts beats Battlefield on.

Winner: Call Of Duty Ghosts!
No, I really wouldn't do that to you guys!

REAL WINNER: Battlefield 4!
Do I really need to explain it?

Joe's MMOS: One long old war...

7:19 p.m. 0 Comments

Hi people of the internet, today is my Warframe review part one. I have been playing this game for about a month now and the reason I haven't uploaded it earlier is for some personal reasons. I will be scoring this MMO on: graphics, gameplay, PVP, PVE and generally how fun the game is.
Now first of this isn't the MMO I would normally go for but it is story driven so bellow is the trailer link.

Now that you have seen the trailer, lets jump in.

Here is an extract form the war frame site to give some background info.

'They were called Tenno. Warriors of blade and gun: masters of the Warframe armor. Those that survived the old war were left drifting among the ruins. Now they are needed once more.

The Grineer, with their vast armies, are spreading throughout the solar system. A call echoes across the stars summoning the Tenno to an ancient place. They summon you.
Allow the Lotus to guide you. She has rescued you from your cryostasis chamber and given you a chance to survive. The Grineer will find you; you must be prepared. The Lotus will teach you the ways of the Warframes and the secrets to unlocking their powers.
Come Tenno, you must join the war.'

There are three factions

Taken from war frame website.

'Preserved in cryopods for centuries, the Tenno awaken to a new war, fighting and resisting the Grineer Empire’s stranglehold on the solar system.'

'The Grineer are a decaying race of militarized humans motivated by fear and envy. They have targeted the Tenno for extinction.'

The Corpus control all traded goods. The reclusive Corpus seek lost Orokin technology to build their own weapons of war to combat the Tenno and if necessary, the Grineer.

Now here are the advanced classes in the game. If you compared this to SWTOR it would be the Sith Inquisitor. This is just a first piece so the actual review is will be posted later. I am just doing background information today. These classes came from war

'Warframe exo-armor uses unique combative technology to create the ultimate weaponry. The Warframes hold many mysterious powers and mastering one requires dedicated use.'

Rhino is the heaviest of all the Warframes. His strength enables him to combine a mix of devestating offensive attacks with formidable defensive powers.

Desired by advanced players, Loki offers a variety of reconfiguring abilities. The abnormality of Loki's powers allows players to manipulate the battlefield.

Specializing in air attacks and mobility, Zephyr dominates from above.

Equally adept at healing friends or striking down the enemy. Oberon embodies the balance Tenno are sworn to uphold.

Forged in the labs of the Zanuka project, the original Valkyr was subject to cruel experiments leaving her scarred, angry and frighteningly adept at killing.

Nekros uses his dark powers to manipulate his enemies, both living and dead.

Nova uses electromagnetic energy to contain and control highly volatile antimatter that fuels her abilities.

The highly tactical Vauban uses his powers to create deadly traps that can zap, imprison and dimensionally crush enemies.

Using sonic attacks and acoustic target detection, Banshee is well suited for stealth gameplay and is capable of filling both attack, and support roles.

Saryn's venomous attacks are horrifyingly effective against organic and synthetic enemies, and her ability to "shed" her skin makes her very elusive.

Trinity is great for players who prefer a supportive role. Warframes with healing technologies are rare making Trinity a great equalizer when the odds are stacked against the Tenno.

Volt can create and harness electrical elements. This is a high-damage Warframe perfect for players who want a potent alternative to gun-play.

Ash is great for players looking for a more stealthy approach to combat. Lethal abilities are complemented by powers of distraction.

Mind control and psychic attacks make Nyx a very dangerous foe. Her ability to reach into enemy consciousness and manipulate their behavior can turn the tide of any battle.

Ember is a nightmare for light-armored targets. Ember can super-heat the air which opens up surprising crowd-control possibilities.

By channeling moisture and vapor in the surrounding environment, Frost creates formidable defenses and lethal attacks from sub zero conditions.

The perfect training Warframe: the Excalibur suit allows players to explore the power of Warframes with a balanced set of capabilities.

With full command of surrounding magnetic energy, Mag is an expert at enemy manipulation.

Thanks for reading guys and stay tuned for more, hope this was helpful and encourages you to try the game for yourself.
