Top 5 Couch Co Op Video Games!

5. Call Of Duty Modern Warfare 2
OK, you may be surprised at this entry, as you know that i despise the Call Of Duty franchise for it's evil community and lack of innovation, but MW2 was actually one of my favorite games of 2009, mainly because of it's Spec Ops missions that i would spend countless hours playing with my friends and my dad. I couldn't give a monkeys about the multiplayer, but when it came to Spec Ops i was all in. MW2 actually had two of my favorite missions from video games: Big Brother being where one guy is a helicopter gunner and another is on the ground trying to get to the extraction point, and the other being Homeland Security, where you used claymores and miniguns to fend of waves of Ultranationalists.

4. Halo 3: ODST
Co Op campaigns are my favorite thing in videogames, and Halo 3: ODST had a great one. Sure, the characters and storyline were pretty bad, but there were countless missions I enjoyed with friends where we went tearing down the New Mombasa Highway in a Warthog, while another guy guarded us from behind with his Scorpion. Oops, I forgot to mention the amazing Firefight mode! The main reason I loved it is because it didn't confine you to one area, like COD Zombies, but instead it let you roam free, having nothing to guard but your own life. It was truly a Survival mode done right.

3. Borderlands 2
LOOTY SHOOTY BANG BANGing with a friend is enough to get Borderlands 2 on this list, but there's so much more you can do! Since you've both got different abilities, it makes the game so much more open, with so many more options on how you can take people on in combat. The fact that the story is still great, and the characters funny as hell, make this the ultimate Co Op campaign for anyone who usually plays by themselves.

2. Castle Crashers
Lets just get this out of the way: Castle Crashers is the funniest game I've ever played. The bosses are so wonderfully designed, the enemies are just so random, and you are put in such weird scenarios that it just makes you go hysterical. The gameplay, still, is damn fun, with you and up to 3 other friends helping each other to get to the princesses, then fighting each other to the death, just to see who gets them! This isn't just some generic fighting game, though, as you can use many special abilties, get new weapons and bombs, use PB&J sandwiches that essentially turn you into the definition of steroids, and little pets that help you out!

1. Star Wars Battlefront 2!
The co op campaign of Star Wars Battlefront 2 was the poop, and it still is. The feeling of being with your friend in an AT AT is good enough, but add that to the fact that you can also play as overpowered characters like Anakin Skywalker and Jango Fett make it ten times more amazing. The diversity of the vehicles and maps, and the challenging but fun objectives, make this the ultimate Co Op game. Sure, it's old, but it's my favorite Class Based Shooter, and it should be yours, too!

What do you guys think? Do you have any better Couch Co Op games? Tell us in the comments below!

More Phones Want KitKats!

So THAT'S why child obesity rates are increasing!

More and more Android phones are getting KitKat installed, which, to be honest, isn't too much of a new change, bar making the phone run smoother and the ability to print from any app, but Canadian phone carrier Rogers have accidentally leaked some information about more phones getting their taste of KitKat. And by accidentally, i mean on purpose, because those good old Canucks could never lie, could they? Anyways, Samsung is getting more greedy, as many of their phones like the Galaxy S4 and NOTEably (I know it's not spelt right!) the Galaxy Note 3 are getting their slice of 107 calories.

Also among the KitKat-getters are the LG G2 and HTC Desire 601, so expect for them to run even smoother than usual. In fact, they'll run so smooth that you could sand it, and nothing would happen. That's a really bad example isn't it? Anyways, there are no dates, but at least we know they are coming, so get your 50ps ready, gentlemen! Oh yeah, and the Nokia Lumia 520 will be getting the Nokia Black update in 3 days.

Damn Nokia, not using food in their OS titles, *grumble*

What do you guys think? Does the ability to print ANYTHING from your phone excite you? Or  do you just think that KitKat is another small update? Tell us in the comments below!

Le Tour de Pac!

Forget Dark Souls 2, the real Namco Bandai game we were all waiting for is Pac Man and the Ghostly Adventures!

That's right, people of the UK can finally rejoice, as Pac Man and the Ghostly Adventures has launched, and to celebrate, Pac Man 'toured' London! To be honest, I think he was just getting some more 'Power Pellets' from his supplier, but ended up getting spotted! If seeing his trippy presence made you want to buy the game, than you can on your Xbox 360, PS3, Wii U and on Steam. It's based on the animated series that was aired on Disney XD, the channel only the coolest of 10 year olds can watch, and it's a 3D platformer, where the aim is to stop Betrayus, aka the undercover cop that betrayed Pac Man after his latest shipment of power pellets. Trust me, Pac Man is deep.

Oh yeah, and there's a 3DS side-scrolling version, but who'd want that?

In other Namco news, Soulcalibur II HD Online, which you can buy on the XBLA and PSN, has just received a new update! Mostly, it's just adding stuff to and fixing the online part of the game. In the update, you can now search an opponent by region (Making for less laggy matches), you can save online match search settings, there is a rematch option on Online Free Match Mode, and a communication quality meter is now next to your opponents ID, so you can see if your game will be nice and happy or downright laggy. Also, some character-specific bugs have been fixed.

Soulcalibur 2: The only arcade game people actually play online!

Kickstarting Thursday with Soap!

Soap is a home automation device that puts all your devices into one easy to use device that could turn your home into the home of the future! There are two Soap devices, the Soap Essentials and Soap Touch, and both run Android, can connect to all your devices in a variety of ways including Bluetooth and NFC, have Parental Controls and are virus protected. The Soap Touch has a touchscreen and has 32GB of storage, while the Soap Essentials has to either be plugged into a HDMI port to be used or controlled via the Soap App, and only has 8GB of storage. Still, they're both Home Automation Systems, so it doesn't really matter!

The Soap Touch does have a Google Play Store app on it, so you can play games on it, but the best part of the Soap is it's native apps. Soap Flypaper lures hackers into your network, then "traps" them, which means you can then report them to the PoPo, Soap Ninja makes your network invisible, so it's completly safe from hackers, Soap Spy streams a device's screen onto the Soap, so you can check out what someone is doing on their device, and Soap Astringant (I think!) collaborates a bunch of anti-virus software so it can stop any Malware, Spyware or anything else attacking your network! It's Parental Control can also be used to stop kids from accessing stuff they're not supposed to, so it's the ultimate Big Brother machine! In a good way!

The Soap Mobile app also makes it possible to for you to control Soap from anywhere, and it's practically not any different to the normal Soap display! It's also great value, as the Soap Essentials would normally cost $610 instead of $100, and the Soap Touch would cost $710 instead of $200! On the Kickstarter page, Soap said that with these devices you could "Let you know when the kids leave the house, alert you if your dog gets out of the backyard, let you know if your dog is barking too loud, turn on your TV when you walk into the room, turn lights on and off when you walk in and out of rooms and let you know if you forgot your wallet or phone before you leave the house."!

At the time of writing, Soap is 126% funded, and still has 16 days to go, so the stretch goals are a possibility! You can get a Soap Essentials for a discounted price of $80, but there are only 16 left, so if you don't, you can buy one for $100, and you can get a Soap Touch for $150 at discounted price, and then it will go back up to $200, so buy them quick! However, if you want to splash the cash, you can pay $425 and get early beta access to the Soap Touch, access to the Software Development Kit, a Zigbee Pro with Wired Antenna (Don't ask me what that is!), a Zigbee Pro without a Wired Antenna, 2 Z Wave ZM3102 Modules, BLE developer hardware, 1 Bluegiga Bluetooth 4.0 Module and 20 Soap rewritable RFID tags. Don't ask me what any of that means, but it must be good! The stretch goals are:

$100k: Camera, Speaker and Microphone added to Soap Touch
$125k: Optical Audio Connector attached to Soap Touch and Essentials
$150k: Soap running Linux will become available
$175: A better Wi Fi Chipset (?) will be added to the Soap Touch
$185k: A better Wi Fi Chipset (Still ?) will be added to the Soap Essentials
$200k:  The Soap devices will have internal batteries

Go fund the Soap at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/soaprouter/soap-first-smart-router-w-touch-display-powered-by?ref=discovery!

Obamacare Anyone?

Free healthcare? How about a $200 phone case?

Step aside, NHS, as Indian tech company Azoi have invented a phone case called Wello that acts like a doctor! It can measure your blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, blood oxygen and more using it's built in sensors, which connects to a Wello app which displays all those vital stats, which you can then look at and see if you're nice and supple or borderline crippled. So, it's basically an ugly $200 phone case that tells you when to see a doctor. Genius.

No, really, it is!

You can buy the case for your iPhone 4S, 5 or 5S in Autumn this year, but if you have another iPhone or Android phone that runs 4.4 KitKat, you'll have to buy an attachment that fits the case, as all that technology could probably only fit in a case that size. Sure, there are plenty of other options if you want to get fit that are much cheaper, but if you've got money to burn and you want to keep a check on your healthy at all times, give the Wello a try!

What do you guys think? Should the Wello be able to be prescribed by doctors, so that they can check up on a patients help? Or is it just a novelty? Tell us in the comments below!

Nice Canucks!

Sheesh, it's about time!

Good news for everybody today as Watch Dogs, the game where you play as Aiden Pearce who can mess around with Chicago just by hacking everything, has got a release date! The open world adventure will come out worldwide on May 27, 2014, which is a pretty good release date because May signals the Summer Video Game Drought, where the only good video games are the Summer Of Arcade games, so you'll have plenty of hacking to do over the summer! PS3 and PS4 users will be able to watch an extra hour of Watch Dogs gameplay if they buy it, as VP of Sony Computer Entertainment Michael Pattinson controversially said that "Playstation is a preferred destination for Watch Dogs.". Ouch. It's also coming out for Xbox One, Xbox 360 and PC, plus Wii U at a later date. I'm actually kinda excited for the Wii U version, considering it has the GamePad, so who knows what it could be used for!

Also, Ubisoft have revealed the iOS and Android game Assassin's Creed Pirates will be getting a free update that adds 5 hours of gameplay! Aren't Canadians nice? Anyway, the update, which you can download today, contains a new map area, a new campaign mission, three new secondary missions, new treasures and diaries to collect, two new ships and a new type of mission, Survival Missions, where you can hunt fish and whales. Also, you can now fight historical ships as well, adding a boss fight element to the game. Not much then!

Still, everyone will still play Flappy Bird.

Anyone powerful and coordinated enough to defeat Dread Master Brontes while under the effect of Nightmare Power will be granted a new unique title!
At a future date, we will remove this buff, leaving the new mechanics in place but the health and damage dealt will return to usual hard mode values, and the title will no longer be possible to obtain.

Wayback Wednesday: Google Part 1!

Sure, Google may get a lot of stick sometimes, but really, Google is pretty much everywhere now, inventing cars, phones, tablets, glasses and most importantly search engines! ON WITH THE ROAST.

In 1996, Stanford University buddies Larry Page and Sergey Brin started up Google, which aimed to make a smarter search engine that would rank websites in order the number of websites that had linked to that site. Sure, it sounds confusing, but if it wasn't for Google, we'd still be looking at dodgy sites when we do our homework or whatever, instead of looking at trustworthy sites like Wikipedia and others. However, the website wasn't started until 1997, and Google wasn't a company until 1998. Sure, they were working in a
garage then, but managed to get into PC Magazine's Top 100 Websites list, and their fame grew from there.

In 1999, Google moved into an office, and grew to 8 employees, before moving to their first Mountain View location a couple of months later, and hiring more employees. 2000 came around, and Google was growing insanely fast, now providing results in 15 languages, becoming the world's biggest search engine and winning a Webby Award. They invented the Google Toolbar, and started to foray away from search engines by making Google AdWords, that personalised adverts for different websites. Then came 2001, in which they launched Google Images and kept on increasing their language count, even making Swedish Chef an official language!

In 2002, Google News was launched, and Google really started to take the mick with their amount of languages, adding Klingon as another language. They also made their first ever product, the Google Search Box, which plugged into computers and allowed people to search their documents. In 2003, they bought Blogger creators Pyra Labs, and launched Google Grants, which automatically put ads on not-for-profit websites to help them. In 2004, they grew to 800 employees, and launched Google Local, which searched local listings and websites. They also made Google SMS, which means you could search for websites via texting, and also bought Keyhole, the future creators of Google Earth.

Next year, Google Maps was launched, and Google Earth was released and used by rescue forces to find survivors after Hurrican Katrina. They also launched Windows Live Messenger rival Google Talk, which is now known as Skype alternative Google Hangouts.

Since Google has such a large history, you'll have to wait until the week after next to hear Part 2 of the Google story! I apologise for the unfinished article, but I have a lot of homework today, so stay tuned!

Purple Beats Chrome!

"Why did we even make those boxes?" Roku President

Roku have revealed a new alternative to their LT video streaming boxes that have the same power as them, but are instead the size of a memory stick. And all for £50 ($49. Apparently American companies love cheating UK citizens out of their money! Oh wait, we made David Cameron. Apologies, USA.)! It seems like a better alternative to Google Chromecast, as it has 750 different video streaming services to choose from, which i'm guessing only 2 will actually be used. Still, it can stream in HD, plus it connects to Wi-Fi and the remote has a Netflix button on it, so you can quickly waste your life away without having to navigate through a menu!

Also, the Roku Streaming Stick will have music streaming apps such as Spotify installed, and the best part? You can't even see the stick once it's plugged in! It's basically a £50 Smart TV, just without the TV in it. However, to make the Streaming Stick work, you'll have to plug a cable into the Roku, then plug it into a USB slot in your TV, but that isn't much of a pickle! You can pre-order the Roku Streaming Stick at £50 at Currys and PC World, but it's not coming out until April.

What do you guys think? Does the Streaming Stick pose a threat to the Chromecast? Or will everyone just buy the Chromecast anyway, because Google? Tell us in the comments below!

Good Guy Rockstar

Sure, FOX hates you, but then who doesn't hate FOX?

I officially fell in love with the BAFTAs after it's been revealed that Rockstar will be winning at least one award at the Video Game BAFTAs tomorrow: the BAFTA Fellowship Award for outstanding contribution to the video gaming industry. Sure, you may think it's just another award, but people like Will Wright and Peter Molyneux have won this award, so i'm pretty sure that this award is very prestigious. Rockstar President Sam Houser, Rockstar Vice President Dan Houser, Rockstar North President Leslie Benzies and Rockstar North Art Director Aaron Garbut will be there to pick up the award, which I think is well deserved. Rockstar have always garnered tons of flak for their games, so this is a great moment for Rockstar to say "I told you so.".

Still, it would be nice to see someone from Rockstar San Diego there. Red Dead Redemption, anyone?

Still, I doubt that'll be their only award, as GTA V, even though it may have gotten a little bit stale, blew everybody away with it's near non existent loading times and living, breathing world. In my BAFTA Prediction article, I predicted that Rockstar would win the Best Game, Best British Game and Best Game Design awards, but personally i'm starting to think they'll win a couple more! Still, I was quite surprised that EA isn't in the running for BAFTA Fellowship!

Seriously, I've never been more sarcastic in my entire life.

SWTOR Lowdown: 2.7 Hits The PTS

Hi Guys!

Today I will be talking about the new game update 2.7 which finally addresses that there is a war on!

This game update consists of two brand new flash points that will  launch a new epic story where we meet some familiar faces. One of these faces is Theron Shan from the SWTOR novels.

Its the dude on the cover! ;)

First off then is two new flashpoints; Korriban Assault and Tython Assault. This sends strike teams from both sides to attack the home world of sith and jedi. This  introduces some new characters; i think we shall be seeing them a lot this year! However, the weird thing is the faces look very strange, so i hope they change that for the release.

Above is the screen shot of the Korriban Flashpoint. As you can see the starter worlds are now all roaming in a new Flashpoint. You can see the Update 2.7 notes at http://dulfy.net/2014/03/04/swtor-patch-2-7-pts-patch-notes/!

Have Fun! .  Patch notes are in a separate pice

 Joe ;)

Poll Results!

Last week, I asked you guys whether monthly updates like The Busniness Update and The Beach Bum Pack were enough to keep you amused and gave you something to work towards, or whether you just thought they were a boring distraction to the lack of Online Heists. Well, 100% of you guys said that the monthly updates were quite fun, and gave you something to work towards!

In my opinion, I was quite surprised at these results, because I thought that a lot of people were annoyed by the Heists not being out yet, but obviously not! My view on this is that since it's quite hard to get money in the game, the monthly updates don't really add anything new for me, so I'm just waiting for Heists to come out! Anyway, the next poll is up, so be sure to vote on that, and also make sure to comment on our blog, as we love to hear what you guys think!

You Lose Tuesday, Fighter Within!

HIGH STRAIGHT COMBO HIGH STRAIGHT COMBO HIGH STRAIGHT COMBO

OK, it's no secret that quite a lot of people don't like Kinect games. I disagree, becuase as well as some truly terrible games, some gems like Kinect Sports and Dance Central 3 have come out. Fighter Within, however, is not a gem. Instead, it's a ball of dust encrusted with bug poop. Bleh.

The gameplay is confusing and virtually requires no skill, but the menus are somehow even more confusing, with your hand always moving to random places, and it has the worst selecting system ever. Instead of the usual hold in place motion, it uses a hadouken-style push and pull motion that will almost never go right. Because excitement. And the ACTUAL gameplay? Well, it's pretty much consists of flailing your arms about and then watching a cutscene that's actually the best part of the game. Sure, it tracks punches and kicks alright, but it gets a helluva lot worse the deeper you dig in.

All the complex moves practically require the same motion, so you can't really have any tactics while fighting other than shake about a bit and see if you do anything special. It's a pretty broken system, and trust me, you'll be hearing HIGH STRAIGHT COMBO so much, you'll want to take the badly-paid commentator and HIGH STRAIGHT COMBO him into oblivion.

And you know what's even worse? The developers of Fighter Within managed to find a writer and director worse than M Night Shmalayaebnnwnen (Or whatever his real name is), because the story isn't a story, it's just a weird pile of events that's been pureed, burnt and stabbed multiple times, then had the word Story Mode branded on it's non existent butt. The actors are basically the Ride To Hell actors, but when they were younger and more cocky. Seriously, though, there is no Story Mode. It's just "Prepare For Cheesiness Everytime There's A Cutscene Mode".

However, if the actors were supposed to be like the AI, they've done an excellent job, because the AI are some of the worst I've ever seen in a game. They just run at you like a headless lemming and proceed to stand still as you painfully (For you, and the AI) kick their butt for about 20 minutes, then die, rinse and repeat. You know, I had hope for Kinect 2. But for some reason, instead of listening to the failure of Fighters Uncaged for the original Kinect, some guys just thought "Let's revive this dormant-for-a-reason genre!" and somehow made it worse.

So for all that, Fighter Within, we don't salut you, but instead we HIGH STRAIGHT COMBO you out of our game libraries.

Facebook: Preparing For Titanfall?

"You know those islanders that live peacefully with nature and are happy? GIVE THEM INTERNET!"

Mark Zuckerberg has started a campaign called internet.org, which aims to give internet to people in poor countries who don't have it. No, he's not planning on giving people who live in the middle of the forest in England it, but instead to people in Africa and other poor areas. To do this, Zuckerberg has said that he'll use a number of drones to provide internet, sort of like a sentient Wi-Fi Hotspot that could kill you if it so wished. I'll stick to Starbucks Wi Fi, thanks.

Seriously though, this is a great cause, and rumor has it that Facebook are planning on buying drone makers Titan Aerospace for $60 million to help, and I think that it's a great idea. Titan have said on their website that they are currently building a solar-powered drone, and since there's a lot of sun in Africa, that could tie in well with internet.org.

What do you guys think? Is giving internet to poor countries a big idea? Or do we need to solve other problems, like hunger and dictatorship? Tell us in the comments below!

Sony's Got 99 Problems But Not The Xbox One!

I'm pretty sure that those 6 million PS4s were sold because of Knack, am I right?

Sony are on a purple patch right now, as they've revealed that they've sold 6 Million PS4s worldwide, two weeks after it was released in Japan. They've also sold 14 Million PS4 games (Most of them Knack, I'm guessing), and users have broadcast 3.6 million Twitch and Ustream streams since launch. The thing that's crazy is that Sony have pretty much sold twice as many consoles than Microsoft, so that shows that most people in the world love to annoy people on Facebook with relentless videos of them playing Knack.

Seriously, I've carried on that Knack joke longer than James Corden carried on his bathroom joke at the Brits!

Anyway, as you can see, the Xbox has a lot to catch up to, but their fightback has just started, as it's been revealed that Xbox One Twitch broadcasts will be in a higher resolution than PS4 broadcasts, so that may tempt avid live streamers over to the green side of the pond. However, the console war has just started, and there are lots of great looking games coming out for both consoles, so it could really go either way. The Xbox One has the devilishly fun Titanfall coming out, while the PS4 has the beautiful Infamous: Second Son being released soon, so it's just a question of what the people want more.

What do you guys think? Will the PS4 dominate the console war? Or will the Xbox One catch up to it's Japanese buddy? Tell us in the comments below!

1 V Monday: Battle Of The Social Life Smooshers!

NETFLIX VS LOVEFILM INSTANT!

Netflix
Let's start of this fight with a HUGE point. If you buy Netflix, you almost have NO reason to subscribe to Virgin or Sky. It's got so many TV shows and films that you've probably forgotten about that were on TV when you were knee high to a grasshopper, plus it's got it's own Netflix Exclusives, from the so dark it's light Orange Is The New Black to the I EXPECTED MORE of the 4th season of Arrested Development. Plus, you don't have to pay any more money to get HD shows, and 4K is coming out for it soon. Sure, Lovefilm has all the blockbuster movies, but TV shows are the real entertainment, as they can last for a long time, and can have a lot more story than any film could. Plus, you can watch it on any device, from the Xbox One to your Windows Phone. Did I mention it's only £6 a month?

Lovefilm Instant
The immediate advantage of Lovefilm is that it's cheaper than Netflix. Sure, it's only £1 less, but when you're binge watching all the films starring Adam Sandler (Trust me, it's torture.) , you're going to need a lot of time. It's the TV equivalent of playing every video game ever made that Troy Baker voice acts in! Anyway, Lovefilm is much better for films than Netflix, as most films come out for it as soon as they come out for DVD, so there's no need for a Blu-Ray player anymore if you have Lovefilm Instant. Unfortunately, as you can see by the picture above, the interface is much more cluttered and messy, which can be a problem if you're sad and desperately need some Steve Carrell in your life. Also, it doesn't support Windows Phones, Apple TVs or Roku Media Streamers, so that's a bit of a setback.

WINNER: Netflix!
For it's better picture quality, amount of TV shows and amount of devices it's on, Netflix takes the ribbon for best subscription-based video streaming service. Sure, it lacks on films, but TV shows can do so much more than a 90 minute long 'splosion fest with Bruce Willis sitting in the back of a pickup truck shooting people for no reason. However, I recommend both services, so if you're a TV fan or Film fan, it won't matter much as they are both the same price range! Happy burning your social life!
